'Andjela'
Here's a beauty portrait in mono print that I made for my friend's birthday. I think the pattern of the shirt and the hair is quite exciting and luxurious.

'He Lives in You'
'He Lives in You."A monoprint I made for my friend who loves cats. I took inspiration from spirit animals and being strong on the inside. I digitally coloured the ink to a warm brown, now I have finished university and am working from home I don't have as many colours to play with, in fact all I have is black so I must remember to put some of my weekly paycheque to enhancing my palette!

Dancing Dreams
A monoprint I made for the story of the Snow Queen when Gerda is sneaking into the summer palace and sees the dancing dreams of the royal sleepers as shadows on the wall. I used stencils of dancers which overlapped.
I really like the colours I get from overlapping colours in the print work shop and the freedom I had with the composition as I was able to move the stencils around.

Illustrations from the Snow Queen
Recently I've been working on some illustrations from the Hans Christian Anderson Tale the Snow Queen. This image illustrates the scene the roses come to back to life and Gerda is talking to them. I used graphite and colour pencil. I'm still experimenting with the qualities of colour pencils.

Brave New World - Folio Society Competition Development work
Ok so these are a few bits I've been working on last term and this week for the Folio Society Competition for Brave New World, a dystopian book about sex, drugs and society.
These are some of the mono prints that didn't make the final cut
This was just a mash up of my original sketches for fun
Creepy looking embryo
Another mashup using the offset
Embryo scene which i used for assessment but changed for the actual competition
and just a little bit of development work for various parts of the book

The Fox and The Mask
'The Fox and The Mask,' an etched concertina with a letterpress band
based on the Aesops Fable
I designed it to act as business card that was a bit more interesting
Run
'Run,' a mono print concertina of animal bound in a letterpress book with embossing powder
All the prints are different, I made six and have sold two
I used studies of animals from my sketchbook to create different compositions
